毛虫大军袭金地园！！！ Caterpillars invaded Taman Tupai Emas in Taiping!!!

（太平29日讯）成千上万的毛虫大军，近日再度侵袭太平金地园民宅，引起居民怨声载道，呼吁太平市议会将草场旁的大树砍伐，一劳永逸解决毛虫入侵问题。

数以万计毛虫不断在金地园第九巷草场旁大树上繁殖，毛虫随风飘入排屋，使该巷约10住家居住的生活受到干扰。

居民颜女士投诉，近日来毛虫大批出现，不断涌如住家范围，居民被迫展开“人虫”大战。

她说，毛虫无孔不如，爬满泊车间、铁门、门柱以及灯罩，甚至爬入屋内，令人扫不胜扫。

“毛虫接触了皮肤后会很痒，必须猛擦药水止痒。”

她表示，其狗在接触到毛虫后，全身发痒吠叫不停，她只好在狗身上喷杀虫剂。

According to China Press, millions of caterpillars have invaded Taman Tupai Mas at Taiping. Residents were complaining the issue to the City Council of Taiping, and hope that they will cut down the trees where caterpillars are breeding to solve this issue forever.

The caterpillars were brought into around 10 houses near the trees mentioned, causing residents in the house to face problems brought by the caterpillars.

Resident Mdm Gan complained that the caterpillars appeared in mass numbers and kept invading the houses, the residents are forced to go into "war" with the caterpillars.

She mentioned that the caterpillars are everywhere, at the porch, the gate, the doorpost, the lamp covers and also in the house. Residents have to keep sweeping the floor to get rid of them.

"When one comes in contact with them (caterpillars), the skin gets very itchy and one has to keep applying ointment to relieve the itching," she said.

She also mentioned that her dong came into contact with the caterpillars and it kept barking due to discomfort caused by itching. She was forced to spray insect repellent on her dog to keep the caterpillars away from it.
