GE13: BN has always empowered youths, says MB

On March 31, 2013, in In The News
The current Government believes in “youth power” and has never stopped looking after their needs, Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman says.
He added that the young were given opportunities to take part in nation-building at all levels and had benefited from the country’s various economic plans.
“The young people should see to it that the nation continues to grow,” the Mentri Besar said, encouraging them to support Barisan Nasional in the soon-to-be-held 13th general election.
Abdul Ghani said this when launching a 1Malaysia Youth Carnival, organised by Ledang MP Hamim Samuri, in Sungai Mati near here.
The Mentri Besar expressed his worry that all the development for youths would come to naught if they gave their mandate to the Opposition front to run the country.
He questioned the Opposition’s capability to manage the country, adding that the impact would be felt in the economic sector.
“We cannot depend on Opposition parties to bring greater development and growth to the nation. We may even face limited job opportunities.”
